CareNet, Quality Assurance and Corinthian

I reported in the Infusion Insider last February of 2015 that CareNet Outcomes Management had received the distinguished full CORE Accreditation by URAC. You might remember that one of the greatest benefits of the URAC accreditation is to validate that the accredited entity has effective quality measures, programs, & systems in place.

You might be wondering what has been happening since CareNet received it's URAC accreditation? As the Compliance Officer and member of the Quality Committee, I can share that several quality initiatives have been underway over the past year. While the new CareNet software program and policies and procedures are implemented in most of the Corinthian centers, the Quality Committee is focusing on specific quality initiatives and monitoring the data. A dedicated team is committed to overseeing the quality initiatives, performing chart audits and reporting the findings to the Quality Committee. The team includes Jennifer McLain, Director of Clinical Excellence and a wonderful new addition, Carol Galloway. The CareNet Quality Committee reviews the data and findings in monthly meetings and reports the information to Donna Logan, Director of Nursing for Corinthian. The CareNet quality measures are proving to be beneficial and add an additional layer of support to the dedicated, professional clinical team of Corinthian. The data and reports that are available from CareNet and the connection between the professionals of Corinthian and CareNet through the Quality Committee is proving to be a wonderful partnership. I am so proud to be a part of this dedicated group!
