All Students are Curious, Creative, and Confident Learners!
Ninja Nation Fundraiser!
Dear Kendallvue Families,
We are very excited for this week! Our big hope with fundraising this year is to improve our outdoor areas. An outdoor classroom and garden improvements align with our philosophy that learning does not just happen in the classroom! We are also hoping to increase our STEM/STEAM resources to expand on our mission of developing creative, curious, and confident learners. We are hoping to raise $50,000 for these items. These are lofty goals, but our students are worth it. I just want to say, thank you for anything you can do to support our kids.
As always, we greatly appreciate the partnership with our community. This year our community has grown and I am encouraged every day as we grow together in creating new traditions. I understand that change creates both positive and challenging moments in the journey. I am encouraged that this week will be an opportunity to continue to build on the positive change for our community and our students giving them the school environment we know they deserve.
Finally, October is important for another reason. Student attendance is the number one indicator of student success. Woody Allen once said, "80 percent of my success is simply showing up"! Our school funding is dependent on student attendance. So, our school's success and student success go hand in hand as it relates to attendance. We appreciate anything you can give over the next week.
Cheers,
Bruce Lindsey
Principal

It’s official – October Count Day this year is Monday, October 2nd. THE MOST IMPORTANT ACTION YOU CAN TAKE TO SUPPORT SCHOOL FUNDING IS TO MAKE SURE THAT YOUR STUDENT ATTENDS SCHOOL ON MONDAY OCTOBER 2nd!! Much of public education funding from the State of Colorado is based on student count, so we encourage you to be sure your student engages in school that day.

Social Emotional Learning Supports
- We are partnering with Changing Perspectives this year to support our students' Social Emotional learning. Social Emotional learning doesn’t stop once students leave our building. This year we will be focusing on how you can support at home with the Coyote Coping Kit newsletter and two family engagement nights presented by Changing Perspectives. Our first engagement night will be virtual on October 5th from 6-7pm. The topic is unpacking social emotional learning. Join us to gather more of an understanding of what social emotional learning is. (Zoom link to come)
