Parents and Friends,
We have had such a great week at GES, and the students, faculty, and staff are definitely ready for a well-deserved break! I loved visiting with parents and students throughout the whirl of parties and festivities...especially the 2nd Grade Gingerbread House decorating party and the 4th Grade Elf Extravaganza. Thank you to all who attended our Christmas Program last Thursday. The children sang beautifully, and I heard many of you comment that it was the best one yet. Ms. Sheila Martin does an amazing job in leading our Music program, and we are looking forward to her next production. We enjoyed our final school day in our pajamas and worshiped together at Eucharist. What a wonderful way to celebrate the end of this first semester. Have a safe, happy Holiday!

GES receives Junior League of Monroe Mini-Grant Award
Congratulations Mrs. Laura Centola and Ms. Ellen Bowen
According to the Junior League Website "The Education Task Force of the Monroe Junior League provides many opportunities for the community. Each year the committee awards mini-grants to area teachers in the amount of $500 per grant. In addition to the mini-grants, the Education Task Force Committee will also fund ACT workshops for qualifying high school seniors. We are thankful for the support provided by League fund-raisers, particularly the Spring Market which generates more dollars for our community projects."
