First Day of School
Things to know about the first 3 days of school:
As is custom, we will start the first three days in First Week Project groups. Rookies and Sophomores, your rosters are in Ms. Batik's email that contained the link to this newsletter. Juniors and Seniors, your rosters will be available in this newsletter on Monday. Please come to school ready on Wednesday with your laptop! For those of you new to our school, you will still go to any CHS or CHS9 classes during those scheduled times, you just won't go to your regular classes when you are on the NTH@C campus.
If you start at CHS or CHS9 for 1st period, please go directly there on the first day of school. Reminder to all learners that wearing your student IDs are an expectation at all high school campuses. If you did not get one printed at schedule pick up, please make sure you utilize your trust card until you can get that. Trust cards will be handed out the first day of school in First Week Project groups.
Classes will start at 8:50am each day the first week. We will not start our Friday 9:00am school start until Friday, August 23rd.
Future Testing Accommodation Information
NTH@C College Board and ACT Testing Accommodations
Application Process and Forms
A student with a documented disability may be eligible for accommodations on College Board tests (SAT, SAT Subject Tests, PSAT, and AP exams) and the ACT. The school does not automatically apply for students to receive accommodations, but will assist families once the request is made to begin the process of applying for accommodations if their child is eligible for Section 504 or SPED. Parents should initiate the process by visiting our information page located on the New Tech High Website, under Announcements:
If you have any questions regarding testing accommodations, please contact Ms. Shaikh, Assistant Principal at rshaikh@coppellisd.com.
