Earthquakes PBL

In this project, we designed and built a house out of popsicle sticks, clay, string, staw, and whatnot. We built this house to be resistant to earthquakes (the shaketable). The house had to be at least two stories high and had to look like a house. After we completed the original task, we added some extra designs.

Driving Question: How can we, as structural engineers, construct a two story house in California for Tony Stark that will withstand seismic activity?

Atmosphere 30hands Project

In this project, we made a video recording woth slides made from Pic Collage. The video was about global warming and climate change.

Invention Concention

In this project we were to think of an invention or innovation that solves an enviromental problem and this invention or innovation must be powered by a renewable resource.

Our innovation sovles the problem of global warming. This innovation solves the problem because it is a car run of solar and wind power. By running on these sources, it reduces the amount of car exhaust released into the atmosphere.

Extra Credit

My favorite unit this year was weathering, erosion, and deposition. This unit was about erosion, weathering, and deposition of the earth through the agents. What I liked about this unit was that there were a lot of interesting things to learn. One of the activities in the unit I liked was the Independent Leaner Activity.
