Oakleigh Owl News

November Newsletter
From Mrs. Metheny
We have officially ended the first quarter of virtual learning and the holidays are upon us. I can’t thank our teachers, students and families enough for all they have done to make the first quarter a success. Without a doubt we are in challenging times, but the Oakleigh community has come together to get through.
As we continue to work to make virtual learning as rich as possible, we encourage students to consistently login for all classes throughout the day to be sure they are accessing learning in all content areas. In addition, please remember that students must login to Schoology on Wednesdays or meet in small group with their teacher in order to be marked present.
As you know the school board has delayed the opening of face-to-face instruction until the metrics indicate it is safe to do so. As we receive information regarding the opening, we will keep you informed. We have been provided with funds from the Cares Grant to purchase PPEs so we are prepared when the time comes for us to return to the building.
I wish you all a safe and healthy Holiday Season!

How to access Schoology on Chromebook Computers
Mrs. Pappas took some time to create a short video on how to log into schoology on the chromebook computers. Please see attached video for assistance on logging into Schoology.

Counselor's Corner
It is hard to believe that we will soon say goodbye to Fall and hello to Winter! The School Counseling team really enjoyed delivering our November lessons which focused on relationship skills such as conflict resolution, problem solving, and friendships. Please remember that even though we are virtual, we are still here to support our Oakleigh families. Feel free to contact us by e-mail with any questions, concerns, or just to check-in! We would love to hear from you.
We hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday season!
