Important Message from Westside Community Schools
Westside Families
We are encountering problems at our Varsity Football Games at Westside High School involving our students. Specifically, we have noticed an increasing number of elementary and/or middle school students unaccompanied and/or unsupervised during and after games. This last week, our staff and security noted a group of younger students together in our parking lot more than 30 minutes after the stands had emptied; needless to say, it was concerning to see a group of 10-13 year olds, alone, at 10pm on a Friday night.
This is creating safety concerns, as well as crowd control and behavioral issues for our security, staff members, and other students and families. While we encourage our younger students to attend games, whether football, softball, basketball, etc., we remind you they must be accompanied and supervised by an adult. In addition, we remind all students they are expected to sit/stay in the stands to watch the game and not congregate near concession stands and restrooms.
Thank you for your support in helping Westside High to be a welcoming and safe place for all of our fans, student athletes and visitors.

WHS Homecoming Parade
Sunset Hills will once again have a float in the Homecoming parade. We are inviting 6th graders to sit on the float and other students/parents are welcome to walk alongside it. We have a banner that will lead us. The Homecoming Parade is Wednesday 10/6 at 6:30, it will begin at Westside High School & end at Westside High school. Following the parade, there will be a pep rally at Phelps Field. All Westside Community Schools’ residents, students and parents are invited to join.

Butter Braids Fundraiser
Dear Participants and Parents/Guardians,
Sunset Hills Elementary School is very excited to offer Butter Braid® Pastry’s as our Fall 2021 fundraising program! The pastries are hand-braided and layered with real butter to create a sweet, flaky pastry with incredible flavor that melts-in-your mouth!
The proceeds from this fundraiser will go to support Sunset Hills Elementary. If our group sells 250+ items, we’ll earn $6.00 per item. Less than 250 items sold, profit will be $5.00 per item. Options for fundraising include both an online store, as well as a paper form for order which will come home in backpacks.
