Segregation In Baseball
By: Zachary Minemier
Colored Players In The MLB
Before Jackie Robinson, there were no colored players in the MLB. At this time in US history, colored people were treated terribly and called terrible names. This was also evident in baseball. Segregation was just at its peak when Jackie Robinson stepped up into the big league.

The Negro Leagues
In the early 1900's, when colored players weren't allowed to play in Major League Baseball, there were leagues called the Negro leagues. These leagues were for players who were colored. The players in the Negro leagues have very few fans and money. Jackie Robinson played in the Negro leagues before getting the opportunity to play in the MLB.
