~ Charlo Students have Fun While Learning ~

On January 21st, 4th grade welcomed Bob Rich, a neighborhood forester, who joined them for an in-class lesson on our state tree - the Ponderosa Pine, before heading to Moose Can Gully to explore! 4th graders learned about the importance of the Ponderosa Pine and Douglas Fir forest communities here in the Missoula valley. Bob also taught students the many ways that these two incredible species interact with and rely on fire to remain healthy and reproductive. Thank you Bob!
