District Begins High School Advisory & Planning Process
Argyle ISD began the process of studying high school configuration options Wednesday night. The High School Advisory & Planning Committee held its first meeting and started the collaboration of more than 60 parents, staff and students in studying the information. The first meeting included a welcome and getting to know each other exercise before the committee began examining some of the configuration options.
Over the course of the next five meetings the committee will analyze the configurations through five separate lenses and record their scores. The lenses include extracurricular & co-curricular participation, enrollment growth, finances, curriculum & instruction and facilities. Following the examination through the final lens, scores will be recorded and provided at the final meeting on December 7. The meetings are led by Dr. Jim Vaszauskas, a former Mansfield ISD Superintendent with nearly 40 years of service in public education. He serves as a strategic partnership consultant for many districts across the state after retiring in 2020.

Thank You for Coming to Starbooks!
Was it a pop-up Starbucks Coffee shop happening at South Elementary recently? Even better, it was Starbooks Cafe'!
The Argyle South Elementary librarian Mrs. Caldwell and her assistant Mrs. Cartlidge offered students some book-tasking in the ASE library. It provided for a fun and creative way for students to engage in reading at the new campus in Canyon Falls. The students could sample new books and the library staff had signage around the library with the look of Starbucks.
More Parking Coming to AHS!
During the Tuesday, Aug. 16 regular School Board meeting, Trustees approved the construction contractor for the additional parking at Argyle High School in Canyon Falls. Pogue Construction will add approximately 400 new spaces to the campus in multiple areas.
