Important Dates to Remember
Canned FOOD DRIVE runs all week! Students may bring in canned food and place in the barrels outside the office.

Weekly Focus
Reading and Writing
In reading, students will continue learning how to ask higher level questions when reading narrative text.
In writing, students will begin the narrative writing process.
Your child is expected to read each week, as with anything, the more you practice the better you are !
Math
Students will continue working on time measurement and problem solving. They will also begin measuring weight and liquid volume in metric units.
Students need to be practicing their multiplication facts on a regular basis. Fact cards were sent home a few weeks ago. If you need another set, please contact your child's teacher.
Science/ Social Studies
Students will finish up learning about the purpose of our country's Constitution. They will be tested over it on Friday.
Spelling
Unit 8
1. Once last year we took the deer something to eat.
2. Every animal must get enough food and water.
3. There is no life without these two things.
4. We thought it was important to help them.
Above are the dictation sentences that your child will be expected to write. Please practice these sentences with your students several times throughout the week. We will pretest on Wednesday and post-test on Friday. If your child scores a 90% or higher they do not have to take the post-test on Friday.
