Prospective parents and students are invited to SMCHS Preview Night. Our teachers, administrators, and current students will present and answer questions about academic offerings, courses, college preparation, faith formation, athletics, fine arts, STEM programs, and much more. Learn. Serve. Lead. Succeed. SMCS Celebrates Catholic Schools Week 2022

From dress up days to basketball games to a “souper bowl” sized canned food collection, all five campuses of SMCS will be in celebration mode next week, as our school system joins others around the country in marking Catholic Schools Week 2022.

Here are some ways parents can participate in CSW 2022:

  • Join us for a System Wide Virtual Prayer Service, Wednesday February 2 8:10 a.m.
  • Attend Mass with students
  • Cheer on the Zephyrs at a home basketball game (FREE Admission for students)
  • Souper Bowl of Caring: drop off canned goods at any SMCS campus
  • Shop the Spirit Stop: use code CSW between January 30 and February 6 for 20% off

Day of Fun in the Snow

Nordic Mountain

What do you do with a day off of school in February? You go skiing, of course! Enjoy a fun day of tubing, skiing, or snowboarding at Nordic Mountain. Monday, February 21 is a day off of school, so you can enjoy the whole day with friends and family. This event includes lift tickets, from 10:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m., rentals (including helmets), and a two-hour tubing session. A fabulous pizza and soda buffet lunch is also included. Planned Giving/Estate Planning Presentation

St. Mary Catholic High School

St. Mary Catholic Schools will host an informational night to highlight legacy gifts and estate planning, led by Thrivent Financial. Drinks and light snacks will be provided. Doors open for this free event at 5:30 p.m., registration starts at 5:45 p.m. and the presentation begins at 6:00 p.m. The presentation will take place in the SMCHS Commons. Please enter the building through the Fine Arts Center doors. Email Chris Decker to RSVP before February 22.

COVID Updates

A system-wide COVID-19 protocol update was most recently shared on January 7, 2022. The updates reflect changes supported by the CDC and local health organizations. Review updated policies here.

SMCS will continue to monitor COVID-19 levels on our campuses and will make necessary adjustments to keep our schools open and mitigate risk for our students and staff.

SMCS Emergency Notifications

SMCS utilizes a text message notification system for emergency notifications, weather-related closures and delays, and other information. To enroll your phone number, please text SMCS to (844) 947-5948. You will receive a confirmation text. You may enroll multiple cell phone numbers using that same process.

With winter here, a reminder that as soon as a weather-related delay or cancellation is determined for school day or activities, information is posted on the SMCS Facebook page, SMCS email, text notification mentioned above, and local TV and radio stations.

Tuition Bills

Please continue to check your tuition bill online for payment adjustments due to newly applied fine arts and sports fees, co-curriculars, and quarterly scrip credits.
