Butterfly fish are preyed upon by a number of large predators,fish such as snappers, eels and sharks. Due to the fact that the butterfly fish is small in size, it is able to tuck itself into crevices in the coral reef in order to escape danger and prevent itself from being eaten.

The fish eats eats different types of algae and seaweed, worms, small crustaceans and zooplankton.Butterfly fish live near the coral reefs which serve as hiding place from predators and as the source of food.
Why are butterfly fish endangered?
The butterfly fish is considered to be an endangered animal mainly as butterfly fish populations have been threatened due to water pollution and habitat loss. The destruction of coral reefs occurs mainly from boats, and without their coral habitat, the butterfly fish find it difficult to survive as they have less food and are also more exposed to predators.

Each year the population of the fish decreased by 100,000 now the fish has a population of 90,000 but when the fish had started out the fish had a population of 1.2 billion
Why we have to take care of endangered animals
We have to take care of animals that are endangered because we can't let every Animal go extinct on earth because what will happen is that the whole human race can even go extinct because of the food chain because no animal took place only producers
