Congratulations Coach Adcock!
Each year, the Alabama Sports Writer Association selects a coach in conjunction with the announcement of an All-State Team! This year the winner was DHS Football coach Jere Adcock!
Coach Adcock was featured in the December 21st Decatur Daily Newspaper!
Adcock is the area's longest-standing football coach, coaching for the Decatur High Red Raiders since 1996. During that tenure, his Decatur teams only have missed the playoffs twice while challenging some of the state's top programs in the Alabama High School Athletic Association's largest classifications.
We love you Coach Adcock!
Coach Adcock has a great football program full of athletes that respect him and his vast knowledge about the game of football, the importance of teamwork and emphasizing hard work and commitment!

The purpose of the lab called Beer's Law was to determine the concentration of an unkown solution using an instrument called a Calorimeter.
What is a Calorimeter?
A Calorimeter is a device that monitors the light received by the photocell as either an absorbance or percent transmittance value.

DHS Christmas Luncheon!
DHS Faculty & Staff enjoyed a Christmas Luncheon before closing for the Holidays!
Thank you to the DHS Courtesy Fund Committee members for cooking and serving a fabulous Christmas luncheon before schools closed for the holidays! Everyone enjoyed a great meal, time to chat and door prizes! Thank you for everyone who helped make the luncheon so successful!
Report Cards will be sent home on Friday, January 9th, 2015!

We will have Swamp Johns in the DHS Cafeteria on January 13th from 4:00-7:00pm! Come join us for some great food for a great cause! See you there!
