Redhawks SOAR!

Your students are doing an amazing job of showing our SOAR expectations. Ask them about what they are excited to save for and purchase with their SOAR bucks. Encourage them to show their SOAR behaviors to earn those bucks!

Akers' All-Stars

Students are nominated for this Principal’s recognition award by their peers or staff members for going above and beyond our school expectations - those who exhibit leadership, kindness, and extraordinary character!

We are so proud to announce our first Akers All-Stars pictured below:

Flu Shots for Students

CFISD has set up with Healthy Schools, a division of CareDox to administer no-cost flu shots to our students. Information and permission forms are attached and will be coming home with your student this week. These have to be submitted to Nurse Galey by September 17th. Students who return the consent form and/or sign up online will be given their vaccine during school on 10/26/18 between 11:45am- 4:00pm.

If you have not already done so and would like to sign your student up to receive a flu shot, you can go to or have your student bring in the paper form to Nurse Galey.

Car Rider Safety Reminder

For the safety of our children and others, please turn right out of the parking lot onto Tuckerton as posted on the street sign.

Message from the Librarian

We are excited that library visits have begun!

Students in Grades PK- 2 learned about a unicorn/goat and the importance of sharing in A Friend For Sparkle. Students in Grades 3-5 became contestants on Family Feud to review library expectations.

Students in Grades 2-5 will be receiving papers about Google Chromebooks that they may borrow from the library for a week if they don't have wi-fi or computers at home!

Our Enchanted Book Fair is less than two months away! Unicorns, dragons, and an Enchanted forest of fairy tale characters awaits!

Students in Grades 3-5 can get their taste buds wet for the Name That Book list by attending Lunch Buddies in the month of September!

Great things are happening in the Rennell Library!
