Principal's Message
October 16, 2020
Hello Willink Families,
We have made it through our first two exception weeks. The next Wednesday exception will not be until January 20th and we will certainly send out reminders before then.
As students return to their “normal” schedule next week, I want to share that we are now offering late bus transportation on Tuesdays (Group 2) and Thursdays (Group 1). Students can stay after school on these days to work with a teacher or teaching assistant or to attend a scheduled club meeting.
While club meeting times are regularly announced on Titan TV, you can also CLICK HERE to visit our school website with updated information on extracurricular activities. We are hoping to expand our offerings as we go forward to intramurals, drama club, and more but we will continue to make sure this can be accomplished while maintaining our health and safety standards.
Students are not able to stay after school unless they are working with a staff member or attending a meeting.
Our late buses arrive just after 4pm. Below, you can view some “handmade” maps that you may want to go over with your child before they choose to take a late bus home. We will also help any student determine the correct bus to get on before they depart. This may be especially helpful for our 6th graders and any new 7th and 8th grade students. (Please be kind in your critique of my artwork!)
If you are 100% Remote, you can still participate in extracurricular activities. Please tune into Titan TV in homeroom or visit the website for more information on who to contact.
I want to thank all of you who are driving children to and from school for avoiding pickup/drop off on Publishers Parkway and also for pulling as far forward in the morning as possible. Before we know it, we’ll have our first bad weather day and I appreciate everyone’s patience and prioritization of safety.
Have a nice weekend,
See you next week!
-Brian.
