Who Do You Say I Am?

Who is Jesus?
Jesus the Christ is more than just a human who knows many Gospel readings and knows a lot about God– He is both human and divine. Jesus is God himself, but in human form. Jesus is our Savior, who saved us from sin and turned us away from evil. He is the light of our world because he lights our path to everlasting life in Heaven. Lastly, Jesus is a leader who guides us onto the right path with morals and examples of what is good and how to help others. People used to say that they thought the Messiah and Savior was John the Baptist, when John the Baptist is in fact his cousin. They also said that some of the prophets such as Elijah and Jeremiah are the Messiah. They clearly did not know who was the Messiah until Jesus told his disciples that He is the One sent from God to show us the doors to everlasting happiness and life. It is sometimes forgotten that Jesus was also a human like us. He was just like us; He did the same things we do every day in order to live a healthy life. One thing He did that all of us did not do much at the time was go out and preach the Gospel to those who have lacked the knowledge that could lead them to Heaven.
Even though Jesus is no longer here on Earth, every where I go, I am able to see Him. I see him in nature, I see him at the hospital, I see him at church, I see him at school, I see him while I practice, I see him when I listen to inspirational music, I see him when I read inspirational quotes or phrases, I see him when I am at home, I see him during class, I see him EVERYWHERE. He will always be everywhere you are because He is inside and a part of everyone.
The Savior
He gave up his life to free us from sin and save from becoming evil.
The Light of Our World
He lights up the way, showing us the way to Heaven.
The Leader to the Path of Everlasting Life
He leads us together through his works and words so we can follow him to everlasting life.
Jesus is . . .
- John 10:30-33 : Jesus answered them, “I and My Father are one.” Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him. Jesus answered them, “Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me?” The Jews answered Him, saying, “For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God.”
- Job 12: 7-10 : "But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds of the air, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish of the sea inform you. Which of all these does not know that the hand of the LORD has done this? In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind."
- John 1:3 : "Through him all things are made; without him nothing was made that has been made."
- Psalm 95:4-5 : "In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land."
