Notes From Mrs. Willis

  • Forms and payment due on 3/22/16 for our field trip to Tuner Field.

  • "Defeat Cancer with Dimes"....send in your dimes to support Relay for Life and help cure cancer.

  • This week is spelling rule 25. This is a review of weeks 21-14. These words are difficult, so I would suggest studying every night.

  • A link for the Georgia Milestones has been added to the link section of the newsletter. Please take a look at the sample questions that students will be required to answer. This is a very helpful resource.

Reading/Language Arts:

  • create a constructed response to answer questions about a passage using the RACE strategy.


Students will be able to...

  • measure objects and then show the collected data on a line plot.
  • measure and estimate liquid volumes and masses of objects using grams, kilograms, and liters.
  • solve one step word problems involving mass and volume by adding, subtracting, multiplying, or dividing.

Social Studies:

  • explain the difference between supply and demand.
  • understand the meaning of interdependence.
