How do certain religions live? What are their beliefs?

What is Hinduism? Who was the founder? What are the beliefs?

Hinduism is a big religion that has MORE than one founder (Polytheistic) and many beliefs. Hinduism was founded by the Aryans and the Indus Valley culture created what we know today as Hinduism. Hinduism has many laws that they must follow according to their caste system.

How do these cause systems work

These caste systems work in a certain way. Every person is put into a rank that determines how their life is going to be and what their jobs are. The caste from lowest to highest are

1. Untouchables ( outcastes )

2. Sudras ( servants )

3. Vaihshya ( merchants )

4. Kshatriyas ( warriors )

5. Brahmins ( priest )


This affects how they live because it determines how your going to live your life, where you going to work, what your going to be, and how things will be setup for you. If you don't get out into a good caste system, your life will be poor and miserable and you won't have the same freedom as others.

Hindus have a code of conduct that affects the whole religion

They call this the eighth fold path. This is what they use to keep themselves in check and to make sure that life isn't stressful and full of conflict. These rules determine how they will love and what caste they will belong too.

Buddhist are a simple and peaceful religion created by a man named Siddhartha. They are a polytheistic religion. They believe in reincarnation and karma. Buddhism is very similar to Hinduism. The goal of a Buddhist is to reach nirvana. Nirvana is a peaceful, detached state of mind. You reach this by living a life of peace, no greed, and no suffering.

Judiasm is a monitheisc religion. Judaism is a religion developed among the ancient Hebrews and characterized by belief in one transcendent God who has revealed himself to Abraham, Moses, and the Hebrew prophets and by a religious life in accordance with Scriptures and rabbinic. This will affect how they live because people who follow Judiasm only have to follow simple rules and live their life in an easier and simple way.

Most of the prayers in a traditional Jewish service can be recited in solitary prayer, although communal prayer is preferred. Communal prayer requires a quorum of ten adult Jews, called a minyan. In nearly all Orthodox and a few Conservative circles, only male Jews are counted toward a minyan; most Conservative Jews and members of other Jewish denominations count female Jews as well

All Jewish holidays begin the evening before the date specified on most calendars. This is because a Jewish "day" begins and ends at sunset, rather than at midnight. If you read the story of creation in Genesis Ch. 1, you will notice that it says, "And there was evening, and there was morning, one day." From this, we infer that a day begins with evening, that is, sunset. Holidays end at nightfall of the date specified on most calendars; that is, at the time when it becomes dark out, about an hour after sunset.

Confucianism beliefs

Confucianism was the code of ethics adopted as the official religion of most of the great empires in the region since the Han Dynasty. Everybody has some sort of religious belief. Confucianism provides a simple skeleton of ethical and religious beliefs that most Chinese flesh out by other religions such as Daoism.

Where it began

After Confucius' death, his disciples compiled his teachings in The Analects of Confucius. They began to spread these teachings throughout China. A later disciple, Mencius (372 – 289 BCE), became an ardent proponent of Confucianism and further spread its teachings among the people

How this affects people.

Confucianism affects how people live because people will go by these certain set of rules called the filial piety and its just at another war of life for people to live better. Living by this rule is great because it is a nice and peaceful set of rules to follow and you will be nice to everyone because of the filial piety.

Islam

with over 1 billion followers, Islam is known as one of the largest religions in the world. it is a monotheistic religion. The name "Islam" in Arabic means submission, reflecting the faith's central tenet of submitting to the will of God. followers of Islam are called Muslims.

Founder

The founder of Islam is Muhammad. He was born in 570 ad in Mecca., he passed away in 632 in medina. He is regarded by Muslims as a messenger and prophet of God. Muslims consider him as the restorer of the uncorrupted original monotheistic faith of Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and other prophets

Quran-Islam Holy Book

The Quran is the holy book of Islam. this is what the Muslims go and live by every day of their life. Muslims will pray five times a day facing mecca. During the month of Ramadan many Muslims recite the entire book, in Arabic, in their prayers. Islam is also informed by the hadith, Arabic or tradition. it is a collection of teachings, deeds, and sayings of Muhammad.

Origin of islam

The origin of islam can be traced back to the 7th century Saudi Arabia. Islam is thus the youngest of the great world religions. Muhammad introduced islam in 610 AD after experiencing what he claimed to be an angelic visitation. The Quran was dictated bt Muhammad but according to the Quran, it was not originated with Muhammad.

Islam Beliefs

Muslims believe that god revealed holy books to gods messengers. the quran was given to Muhammad. The single most important belief and arguably the central theme of the religion, is that thereis only one god, the name of this god is Allah. This impacts their daily life because everyday they will pray 5 times and if not they have to make it up by doing good deeds and donating.
