Creating a Campus Culture of Lifelong Learning
As a campus administrator it is important that we have our fingers on the pulse of our schools. This is also an incredible challenge, as life and change happens fast. However as I write this week's newsletter, I think about all of the moments of smiles and laughter that our students and our team get to see and experience each day. When Crossroads Academy was still in the development phase, our district leadership team made it very clear that they wanted Crossroads to be a place where learning and achievement meets fun and excitement. We visited model alternative schools, we did our research, and we gathered a team of professionals that believe wholeheartedly that school and learning should be a place where our students can enjoy themselves as they overcome challenges and barriers en route to graduation. So, while I cannot say that I know about every single rise and fall in our school's metaphorical pulse, I can look at the smiles captured on camera, and the many more captured only in the mind and I can be proud of our team, our students, their families, and our support network. These individuals come together each school day and set our goals and planning into action. As we close out February and look ahead to Public Schools' Week, I could not be more thankful to be a small part of this incredible learning experience.
