I Love Orange Oil!

Seriously...

I'm kind of late to the party when it comes to orange essential oil, but it has quickly become one of my favorites. Just a whiff of Wild Orange or Citrus Bliss takes me to my happy place.

It is well established that the refreshing aroma of orange essential oil has an uplifting effect, but I'm learning that it is beneficial in so many other ways.

Orange essential oil, made from the peel of the orange, is commonly used in household recipes for cleaning, deodorizing, and cooking. It is high in monoterpenes and antioxidants, and has an antiseptic, antidepressant, and antispasmodic properties.

What is really exciting to me is the medical research being done on the effects of orange essential oil to prevent cancer. D-limonene is a super-nutrient that occurs in orange essential oil, and is being studied extensively for its ability to prevent cellular mutations and combat cancer tumor growth.

Try a couple drops in your water or smoothie for a burst of flavor, diffuse to energize and deodorize, or dab a drop or two behind your ears...you'll smell like sunshine!

I'm going to try making this orange-peppermint sugar lip scrub (see the link below). Sounds yummy.

Do you want to learn more about essential oils?

I'm happy to come to your home and talk to you and your friends about ways to use essential oils as a natural and healthy replacement for toxic products we use every day.

Just give me a call or shoot me an email, and let's set it up.

Thanks!
