LHS- MAIN ELECTIVES
High school electives are those courses outside of the core curriculum that give students the opportunity to explore specific areas of study they are interested in. Electives are crucial to helping students discover their passions, narrow down the subjects they’re not that interested in, and get the most out of their high school experience.

COLOR GUARD
What is Color Guard?
CHOIR
Choir is an ensemble that presents several concert performances annually. Students participate in a variety of choral settings and prepare individual and ensemble literature to perform at TMEA and UIL events.
Orchestra is an ensemble made up of Violin, Viola, Cello, and Bass. They present several concert performances annually, including Western Days, City of Lewisville 4th of July Celebration, Fall Concert, Winter Concert, and Spring Concert. There are five orchestras in the program and students will be ranked based on their audition. Students participate in a variety of performance settings and prepare individual and ensemble literature to perform at TMEA and UIL events.

Theatre Arts applies principles of production studied and applied through performances in various theatrical modes.

Academic Decathlon provides an intensive, exciting, demanding, and rewarding educational experience that culminates with competition in area, state, and national competitions.

MEDICAL MICROBIOLOGY
Medical Microbiology course is designed to explore the microbial world, studying topics such as pathogenic and non-pathogenic microorganisms, laboratory procedures, identifying microorganisms, drug resistant organisms, and emerging diseases.
PATHOPHYSIOLOGY
Students in Pathophysiology will study disease processes and how humans are affected. Emphasis is placed on prevention and treatment of disease. Students will differentiate between normal and abnormal physiology.

Practicum in Marketing (Work Study)
This practicum course is in the form of an after-school job, students who are currently employed. The curriculum will present project-based learning giving students the opportunity to apply newly acquired marketing skills in real-world situations.
INCubatoredu
INCubator is designed to give our entrepreneurs the opportunity to create and fully develop their own product or service. Real-world entrepreneurs and business experts serve as coaches and mentors through the process.

Fundamentals of Real Estate @ LHS
This course contains the curriculum necessary to complete the pre-licensure education requirements of the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) to obtain a real estate salesperson license.
Firefighter DC program with NCTC @ LHS
This is a dual credit course conducted in cooperation with North Central Texas College and the Lewisville Fire Department preparing students with the training and skills to become a Texas Certified Firefighter. This is a two year program.
