About our 1 - 2 year old class...
November Parent Letter
Dear Parents,
Have you heard about Amber Lamb and Button Bear? They are our preschool mascots! Amber Lamb and Button Bear have been helping the boys and girls learn different concepts, such as sharing with others, using seat belts and understanding fire safety procedures. They also help with learning numbers and colors.
You may notice that your child's coloring is improving, as staying in the lines gets easier with everyday practice. This practice helps prepare the children for writing someday soon. We have practiced counting up to 10 and are recognizing numbers 1, 2 and 3. Isaiah 43:5 is our memory verse for November. Be sure to as your child to sing "Where is Thumbkin?" with you. We call the fingers - Thumbkin, Pointer, Tall Man, Ring Man and PInky. At the end of each verse, the fingers "run and play." The children all giggle as we enjoy this finger play while they develop fine motor skills in a fun way.
During November, the children met Virginia State Troopers who visited our school and shared safety tips and provided lunch. What a fun day that was!
I would like to thank you for allowing us the privilege of teaching and caring for your wee darlings. Your child is truly a little blessing and a joy to educate. I wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Sincerely,
Mrs. L.
