Stinson Middle School - February 2019
Stinson Mission Statement
Through relevant and engaging learning experiences, we will foster an environment of mutual respect and equip students with the academic and technological skills to grow as lifelong learners, problem solvers, and productive citizens.
Message from the Principal
Dear Stinson Parents and Students:
As we begin the 4th grading cycle, we wish you all a Happy New Year and look forward to all the events this spring.
We hope to see many of you at our second Student Led Conferences on Tuesday, February 26, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Our students are piloting Digital Portfolios on Google Classroom to showcase their work and share with their parents during the student led conferences. These conferences are a time for students to communicate with parents regarding their learning in all classes, not a night for parent/teacher conferences. If you are needing to schedule a parent/teacher conference, please contact your students' teachers.
I have posted a picture of our girls who were inducted into our Gamma Sigma organization in December. We are proud of our girls and the leadership they provide to our campus, along with their community service. Thanks to Ms. Erin Bishop for serving as the Gamma Sigma sponsor and organizing the event.
Our science lab renovations continue on campus, and construction on the five new classrooms has already begun. This summer the final renovations will be completed to include all new science labs and 5 new classrooms. Please check out pictures of the renovations on our website.
Thank you all for all your continued support.
With Skyhawk Pride,
Lourdes J. Medina, Principal
KEY REMINDER
