HOPE HAPPENS HERE!
Hope Focus: We Time Travel
"The future is always beginning now."
~ Mark Strand
This month's hope focus is the third of the three universal truths: We Time Travel. This truth asserts that children are successful when they can articulate a future for themselves.
Mental Time Travel is the ability to envision your future in the four destinations of life, then return to the present and make a plan to get there. How you see your future will determine the choices you make today.
It's very likely that, over time, your vision for your future will change. You might decide to pursue a different career, change where you want to live, or find interest in new activities. That's okay. What shouldn't change is your vision of a future where you're healthy, happy, and successful on your terms. What propels you forward is the belief that you deserve to be healthy, happy, and experience success in the ways you want to experience it, and that you can make it happen. This belief is what influences the choices you make along the way--starting now--so that what started out as a vision becomes your reality. This belief is what grows the hope inside you that will lead you all the way there.
How will you begin your future now?

Kids at Hope Have Strong Character!
CHARACTER TRAIT OF THE MONTH
June: Courage
Have you shown courage by:
- standing up for what is right, even if you're standing alone?
- trying something new?
- trying something again if you make a mistake or fail at it?
- asking for help when you need it?
- befriending a classmate new to the school or one who never seems to have a friend?
