Events This Week!
NWEA Window Begins
The NWEA Fall Benchmark Testing Window continues this week and ends Friday, Sept. 30. If you have not done so already, please sign up for your testing times (link below). The Tech Dept. brought over our extra (NEW) Chromebooks that we will use temporarily to replace our devices that are being repaired.
As a reminder, please talk with your students about proper handling & care of our Chromebooks and computer lab equipment.

Growth Plans
The window for completing your Growth Plan in Pivot begins today! Growth Plans are due next Friday, Sept. 30. I will send out a calendar invite for a few voluntary help sessions in the computer lab this week and next.
School Improvement Team Meeting
Our first SI Team Meeting of the year will be tomorrow morning, Tuesday, Sept. 20 beginning at 7:30am in the Media Center. All are welcome to join the team!
Emergency Drills this week
Please expect several different emergency drills to take place this week as an entire building. A practice Fire Drill may or may not take place tomorrow around 10am? :-) Those who actually read my newsletters might have a little advanced notice. :-)
PICTURE DAY!!!
This Thursday, Sept. 22 is PICTURE DAY for all students and staff. As a reminder, ALL students will get their picture taken for the yearbook and class picture, even if they are not ordering a picture package. We hope to have them set up for group pictures before school so that we can do our Team pictures and all staff picture. Please wait for an announcement before heading down. A schedule for picture day will be sent out soon!
Hungry Howie's Pizza Night!
This Thursday, Sept. 22 is our first HUNGY HOWIE'S PIZZA NIGHT of the year! Please remind your students of this throughout the week... And don't forget, the classroom with the most participating families will win a classroom Pizza Party!
Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible!
Please continue to make the extra effort to promote, practice, and model our Daily Affirmation of being Safe, Respectful, and Responsible. Please escort your students to/from Specials and remind them of our shared expectations while working independently in the halls or travelling with a friend to other locations throughout the building. Thank you all for your continued help with this!
