We are thrilled to have to the opportunity to provide mental health services for our BISD staff and parents. The Well is a place for adults to come find solutions to their problems, continue their education, connect with others and find true JOY. We will continue to add offerings, seminars as well as a few virtual opportunities! Remember: THE WELL is open every Tuesday!
OCTOBER 6: DISABILITY SERVICES IN COLLEGE 5:30-7:00
Colleges today are dedicated to creating opportunities for success for many different kinds of students. Some students may have physical and/or mental challenges or impairments that interfere with their ability to succeed in the classroom. Join Sharon Dresser from Northwest Vista College share opportunities available for students in need of accommodations.

Anissa Moore has been a public school educator for more than 25 years, collaborating with school districts, educational service centers, and agencies to support students with behavior challenges, autism, ADHD, and developmental disorders. Anissa is a certified principal, early childhood teacher, and special ed & general ed teacher. She strives to ensure best practices and quality outcomes for educational agencies with whom she works with. Anissa will be offering her expertise in a session on executive functioning that will be helpful for both parents and BISD staff.
SOLUTION STATION: Weekly at 4:30, 5:30 AND 6:30
Unlike traditional forms of therapy that take time to analyze problems, pathology and past life events, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) concentrates on finding solutions in the present time and exploring one's hope for the future to find quicker resolution of one's problems. Bring your problem to THE WELL and enjoy the benefit of time with our Director of Whole Child Services, Lesa Pritchard as she works to help you find resolve.

ART THERAPY: Every Tuesday at 4:30 for Staff AND at 5:30 for Parents
A weekly therapeutic art group where participants will utilize art to gain greater personal understanding and healing. No art experience is required. At this time this is offered for adults only. For more information please contact Megan Guidry at megan.guidry@boerneisd.net.
SELF-CARE FOR BUSY ADULTS: Every Tuesday at 4:30 for Staff and 5:30 for Parents
Feel as though your well is empty? As parents and educators, most of our time is focused on the well being of the children we care for and not on ourselves. Enjoy time investing in yourself with hands on activities including art, music, and movement.
RESTORATIVE YOGA: WEEKLY@ 5:30
Come enjoy time with our amazing yoga instructor Carol Jusko. Learn the art of relaxation while developing the skills and abilities to self-soothe, NO experience needed! Due to social distancing, space is limited to 15 participants. Make sure you complete the registration form to guarantee your spot. We will accept walk ins if all spots are not taken and right now we have several open spots!! COME ON OVER! Please bring a yoga mat/towel and something for hydration.
Spanish Speakers Support Group: Weekly@ 5:30 and 6:30
Welcoming our new arrival English learners and their families- this group meets weekly to create a positive and growing partnership of learning their new educational system and learning about their community and school support system. We learn together in a multicultural environment to ensure social and academic success of students. Spanish speakers support groups will provide an opportunity for parents to share successes, challenges, and experiences.
