ASCII AND UNICODE
Define the term character set and explain how binary can be used to represent characters. Describe (for example Unicode and ASCII) the relationship between the number of bits per character in a character set and the number of characters which can be represented.
Our keyboard has a character set. A character set is basically a set of characters which can be expressed in binary using ASCII or UNICODE. In ASCII, 256 characters can be represented. This is because ASCII uses 8-bit binary.
