All About Elephants
By Jill Antoniello
Summary of My Reading
There were many interesting facts from the book, Elephants. I learned that elephants communicate in many different ways. They use their mouths to make sounds and use their trunks to greet one another. Elephants are pregnant for 2 years! Wow...that's a very LONG time!
Elephant ears have different markings which make them identifiable just like zebras. Their ears keep them cool by releasing heat.
I would like to learn more about baby elephants as they are so adorable. I wonder how much they weigh and if they are stay by their mother as they grow up.
Questions I still have...............
Wonderings
1-Do elephants have eyelashes?
2. How long do elephants sleep for?
3. When can elephants walk as babies?
