Winter is finally here -

The snow has finally fallen and is sticking to the ground. The temperatures have finally fallen into the 30's and below consistently so I guess that means it's truly wintertime. Hot chocolate with marshmallows and hot cider help keep out the cold - and so does good outerwear. So bundle up your kids when they come to school as our teachers will still take their students out for mask/movement breaks when possible.

Self-Certification Requirement Update

Parents/Guardians -

Thank you for daily self-certifying your child(ren) for the last several weeks. The following information is the self-certifying process that will be used for our new learning schedule starting January 25th:

One Time Self-Certifying

Between Tuesday, January 19th, and Sunday, January 24th, ALL FAMILIES must go into Skyward and self-certify your children. Instructions on how to self-certify in Skyward can be found here.

All students who have a completed self-certification form in Skyward by Monday, January 25th will be provided a District #44 backpack tag, which signifies to us that our families continue to honor our requirement that only children who are symptom-free are on campus. Students will be provided this backpack tag on Monday, January 25th only if the self-certification is complete. The school will contact those families of students who are not self-certified to come pick them up and take them home and can return only when the self-certification is completed.

The idea behind the backpack tags is that it will remind you to continue to check your child(ren) for symptoms daily before coming to school. If your child shows up to school without a tag, you will be called and will need to come pick them up. Please call us if you have additional questions. This is one way we can work together to help keep our hybrid learning in place by keeping the environment free of illness and especially COVID-19.

iPad/Chromebook Issues?

If your child is experiencing an issue with his/her district issued device, please fill out an online help ticket at: Technology Support Request Form. By accessing the student support helpdesk using this form, a technician will be able to expedite a solution by sending an email with instructions on a replacement, or troubleshooting the issues for you. You can find this form by going to: - parents tab - D44 Remote Learning - Technology Support - and then click on the purple tech support icon at the bottom of the page.
