Keeping You Informed

May 5, 2020

ABC/JBE Families,

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Happy 5th of May!

We appreciate all of you and the work you are doing with your children. We know this has been a stressful time and look forward to getting back to some kind of normal. We will continue to follow the CDC and Governor's guidelines. We will keep you as up to date as possible.

Any AMI work for days 21-30 not picked up last week, should be in your mailbox this week. The filing cabinets will be outside 24/7 for packet drop off. We have had many students complete all of their work and turn it in. You still have plenty of time to get work completed. You can bring it as you complete or bring all 20 days at one time. Days 21-30 do not contain worksheets that need to be completed. These days are activities to do centered around reading and discussing. If possible, please continue to work on iReady and any other online format your teacher may suggest. Use the flashcards that were handed out several weeks ago to keep up math practice.

We have decided to approach the next round of AMI in a different way. We know that our families have been through so much with social distancing guidelines, not being able to come to school, and the recent weather impact. The activities given to you for days 21-30, involve you spending quality time with your children. These activities do not involve a great deal of pencil and paper or online capabilities. There will be no need to turn any paper work in for these days. Many of the activities involve you reading to your child or them reading to you and then discussing what was read. If you access the online version of these documents, you will be able to click on links that will take you to YouTube videos of books being read to you. Other activities allow students to get outside and interact with their surroundings. We care about you. We are thinking about you. We miss you!

This week will conclude any work being sent to your child. We will still post resources for you to continue learning even through the summer. Please keep in contact with your child's teacher and work with them using the information they share with you. You are still able to reach your teachers by email, apps, Facebook, phone, etc. We are here for you and your children. We love each and everyone of the students we serve. Believe me, we are thinking about them daily.

If you need anything, please email Mrs. Kari. Let us know what you need and we will do our best to help you with correct social distancing. Again, we are here for you and your children.

We will provide links to each grade's AMI (days 1-20) work and online options to keep your children engaged in learning. Days 1-5 covered 3/16-3/20. Days 6-10 will take care of 3/30-4/3. Days 11-15 will be 4/6-4/10. Days 21-30 will cover 4/27-5/8.

Days 21-30 have been added to each grade level link and will be mailed to you if you have not picked them up this week. Call (866-446-3647) or email if you have any questions.

You may contact staff members by email any time at

Stay safe and take care of your families.
