Bloomz...An Awesome Parent Communication Tool!
Bloomz combines the tools of Homeroom, Volunteer Spot, and Remind! You may want to pilot it these last weeks of school to see what you think before next school year begins! See below for more info!
K-2, Need More Styluses?
Please email Angie if you no longer have a complete classroom set of styluses! I can send you some inter-office mail! Thanks!
Attention K-2, Have You Used Book Creator?
Book Creator is one app we have paid for because we so strongly believe in how powerful it can be! All students should know how to use it because they were all taught at some point last year, except kindergarten students...so we need to be sure they learn by the end of the year! Your students can add text, pictures, videos, their voice, and more to books they create! Below, you will also see a video showing how your students can create a quick comic in Book Creator to retell a story (view from 12:50-17:15). Let me know if you'd like me to help teach this to your class!
PD in Your PJs - Engaging in Literacy with Seesaw
Bloomz: A Parent Communication Tool for All Grades
Bloomz allows teachers to send quick text, photo, or video updates of the class, including newsletter links. Teachers can also set up class calendars, reminders, and volunteer sign ups. There is even 2-way messaging between teachers and parents...all in a secure environment! Allison Smiley at Maple Grove has been piloting this tool this year and says, "I LOVE it! I get messages from parents all the time through the app and it has made volunteer sign ups and supplies sign ups super easy!!"

Seesaw Idea
I recently visited Melissa Gardner's kindergarten classroom to teach Seesaw and she had the awesome idea to have students make videos of themselves reading their How-To books! Such an easy way for students to see everyone's work at once...and it takes no extra steps to share it with the teacher and parents!
Now making appointments for after Spring Break!
