Pine Class News Update

So much Exploring!
We've been on so many great trips so far as part of our Brooklyn integrated unit. We want to thank family members who have been able to join us. We realize daytime is difficult for many people, so no worries if you can't swing it, but know that we'd always love to have you along.
We found a "plaza" where there were shops and no cars.
We watched the train go under the plaza.
We noticed how the houses looked different from Fort Greene.
We learned Shavasana or "corpse pose".
We did deep lunges.
And moved into mountain pose.
We did observations of the neighborhood.
We noticed some bright colored houses.
And large yards.
We looked through a great new collection of books about Brooklyn...
Thought about new questions we'd like to find answers to...
Continued to add to our map of places we've visited...
We walked through the halls, noticing photographs of Brooklyn players from the past.
We sat in the stands overlooking the basketball court!
And wrote observations about what we saw, felt, and wondered.
New Cubbies!
Extra Clothes Reminder
Listening
This week we listened to Cepia's album "Natura Morta" among many other things! During Community Gathering Shawn started to teach us the sign language for Bob Marley's "Three Little Birds". We tried to find a video that shows the sign the way Shawn taught us, but they're all different! So we'll just have to record one ourselves. :-)
