EVENTS & ACTIVITIES
Ren360 Testing (MOY)
In order to measure student growth in the areas of Reading and Math for the 2021 -2022 School year, the Renaissance 360 middle of the year (MOY) assessments will be administered January 10 – 28, 2022. During this window, FBISD teachers and staff will proctor the administration of the assessment for students. Your child’s math and ELA teachers have scheduled time for your child to take the assessment in class. The data from these assessments will be used to answer essential questions about your child’s learning needs and to improve academic outcomes for all the students in the class. As a parent, there is no action that you need to take at this time. At the conclusion of the testing window, MOY results will be available in Skyward for parents and students.

UPDATES & REMINDERS
Attendance Reminders
We are currently in an Attendance Clerk transition period and awaiting for our new staff member to come on board. Please be patient and don’t send multiple emails for the same attendance issue. We currently have some part-time assistance and appreciate your patience as we code past attendance.
- Please send all attendance related emails to attendancesms@fortbendisd.com
- If you’re picking your child up early, please allow 10 minutes for them to be called from class upon arrival. Students may not be checked out after 3:40 p.m.

School Volunteers
Per District protocol and Board policy, any volunteer on a campus must complete a criminal history background check once a year for the safety of our students. Upon receipt of the background clearance notification, volunteers will be able to sign-in at the front desk at the campus. Campus personnel will review for eligibility in Raptor before allowing a volunteer on campus.
For more information on volunteer procedures, please click on the following: https://www.fortbendisd.com/howtovolunteer
Student Passwords
Beginning on Tuesday, November 16th, automatic emails will be sent by the District to secondary students (Grades 6th through 12th) whose passwords have expired or are going to expire within 21 days. Notifications will be sent from DoNotReply.MyFortBendISD@fortbendisd.com, and will direct students to go to Skyward for Password Job Aids. Students will receive these emails daily until they have updated their passwords.
Student Withdrawals
Please let us know if your child will not be returning to Sartartia MS for next semester. If your child is not returning, please complete an Intent to Withdraw form and contact Ms. Pena at 281-634-6323 email alejandra.pena@fortbendisd.com. The Intent to Withdraw form is attached below.
Safety Reminders for Traffic During Arrival and Dismissal
Safety is important during arrival and dismissal each day. Please help us keep our students and staff safe by being mindful of the following:
- Cell phone use is prohibited in school zones; including the car rider drop off/pick up line
- Students should only enter/exit vehicles in the car rider circle at the front of the school
- Students should only enter/exit vehicles on the passenger side
- Please pull forward to the front of the line and then let your child get in/out of the vehicle
- Parents should not park in either of the parking lots during arrival or dismissal
- Please remind your students to use crosswalks and be aware of traffic when they are crossing the road
We appreciate your attention to these concerns during arrival and dismissal.
