21st century camps are a summer of fun!
Florida's 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) program is a key component of the "No Child Left Behind Act" and is an opportunity for students and their families to continue to learn new skills and discover new abilities after the school day has ended, as well as throughout the summer at Pelican Island Elementary. The summer program at Pelican Island Elementary is a seven week program that also includes weekly field trips and community guest presentations.
The focus of this program is to provide expanded academic enrichment opportunities for children attending Title 1 or Title 1 eligible schools. The 21st CCLC grant is authorized under Title IV, Part B, of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), as amended by the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001.
