Virtual/Absent Student Scheduling:
Virtual/Absent Student Scheduling
Hampshire High School will be having a parent scheduling night for ALL virtual students in grades 8th -11th. This is a chance for students who are virtual and 8th graders who were absent on the days we were at your school, to come and get the required paperwork in order to complete a schedule request for the 2021-2022 school year. There is a lot of information, read all the way to the end.
Who should attend: Students and Legal Guardians. If both the student and guardian are present, you can fill out the request sheet that day, turn it in, and be finished.
What if Guardians can’t attend? That isn’t a problem, we will send the paperwork home and it can be returned to any of the three schools (Hampshire High, Capon Bridge Middle, & Romney Middle)
When: Thursday May 6, 2021
Where: Hampshire High School Auditorium
What Time: 8th Graders Only – 6:00PM – 7:00PM
9th – 11th Graders – 7:00PM – 8:00PM
What happens if you can’t attend at the assigned time? You are welcome to come at any point in this evening, however there will be a presentation specific to your student at the assigned time.
What happens if you can’t attend at all? If you cannot attend, you need to contact your HIGH SCHOOL counselor starting May 7th and set up an appointment to complete your request. (Last Name A-K, Mr. Nichols/Last Name L-Z Mrs. Anderson)
What if I am an 8th Grader who was absent on the day scheduling requests were handed out? You should attend this night to get the information you need to start high school off on a strong note.
What if I am a high schooler who missed the scheduling day? You will NOT attend this event, you will schedule a meeting with your counselor and they will work with you to get caught up.
What is going to happen this evening? We are going to hand out the required paperwork for completing a schedule request. There will be a presentation about the class options as well as a question & answer session following.
Will there be a high school tour? No, that is for Bump-Up day which is scheduled for May 21st, please sign up for that if you want to see the high school.
Will there be CTE/Elective teachers present that evening? No, that is for Bump-Up day which is scheduled for May 21st, please sign up for that if you want to see the CTE and Elective courses offered at HHS.
Will there be clubs and student organizations present that evening? No, that is for Bump-Up day which is scheduled for May 21st, please sign up for that if you want to see the opportunities to be involved during your time at HHS.
Why is it important to attend? The master schedule is based off of student request sheets. There is no guarantee you will be able to have the schedule you want; however, it is much more likely if you have a completed request sheet turned in on time.
What happens if you don’t attend? You should contact your HIGH SCHOOL counselor starting May 7th and set up an appointment to complete your request. (Last Name A-K, Mr. Nichols/Last Name L-Z Mrs. Anderson)
What if you filled out your request and you want to make changes? You can contact your HIGH SCHOOL counselor and they can assist you.
When will actual schedules be handed out? Schedules will be distributed to students in August for the 2021-2022 school year.
