Academic Penthathlon
Academic Pentathlon is an academic competition in which 7th and 8th graders compete in Math, Science, and Social Studies. Seventh and Eighth grade students match their intellect with students from other schools. Nine-member teams are comprised of: 3 Honors (A students); 3 Scholastic (B students); and 3 Varsity (C students). They round out the five events with an essay over a current novel and a Super Quiz competition on a topic chosen each year by the state committee. Students can win individual awards in each event as well as team events.
Pentathlon progresses into Octathlon and Decathlon in high school and can lead to wonderful scholarship opportunities for Klein ISD students.
More information coming on the first meeting dates and informational meeting with the sponsors.

Students will attend a district Coding Expo in April where they will display their programs and compete in coding challenges. Space is limited and meetings will be held on Monday’s after school in the library until 5pm starting September 30th.
Coding Coaches are Ms. Redmon and Ms. Wuensche.
