My country is Latvia, the capital of the country is Riga. The meaning of there flag, the white stands for right and truth, the honor of free and trustworthiness and the red reminds them of the blood that has shed in the recent past.

Geography

Latvia Is in a continent named Europe, the country's that surround it is Russia, Estonia, Lithuania, and Belarus. The physical features on Latvia are called Central Vedzeme Upland, Eastern Kurzene Upland, Zemgale Plains, Middle Latvian lowland, and Eastern Latvian lowland. The major landmarks are Gobdzinas Cliffs, Melkitari stone, Ungurmuiza manor house, and the view from Vasargeliski tower. The major body of water is the Gulf of Riga. The effects of the human interactions were that water would sometimes overflow the boats to crash into each other, causing minor damage.

Government

Latvia's government is a parliamentary democracy which is a system of democratic governance of a state in which the executive branch derives its democratic legitimacy from. The leader of Latvia is President Raimonds Vejonis. The Latvian head of State is elected for four year mandate (renewable once) by the absolute majority of the 100 members of the Saeima. Voting is undertaken via a secret ballot. The post is open to any Latvian (who is not a national of any other country) aged at least 40. Women's employment is primarily in lower-paid occupations, such as teaching, nursing, and culture management. Although employment levels are roughly equal for men and women, men are four times more likely to be employers.

Cleanliness is next to Godliness is an age old proverb. The Latvians believe this thoroughly. To them, Diev (God) will not enter into filthy homes and surroundings. The virtue to remain active leads to material success and mental happiness. The virtue to be cheerful indicates love and compassion for nature and fellow humans. To be wise is to understand the benefits of a harmonious set-up, and the ways to attain thus. Americans main religion is Christianity it isn’t about rules and regulations to follow. In America people can wear a variety of things but have to follow the dress code. Two similarities between the United States and Latvia are life expectancy they both have a life expectancy more than 70, and literacy rate is 99.9 percent.
