ファミリーコンピュータ ロボット or Robotic Operating Buddy, R.O.B., is a unique robot system that was first released in Nintendo Japan on July 1985 as an attachment accessory to the SNES (Super Nintendo). It was then released in America. R.O.B. had only two games, Gyromite and Stack-up. R.O.B.'s LED eyes light up when they are ready for one of six commands. R.O.B. also included its own physical game pieces. This was a very popular sale for Nintendo during 1985, although it did not last long.
