Lift Others with Words
This six weeks our focus is on being thankful for those around us and showing this gratitude by lifting others with positive words. Do you have those caring compassionate students who are always supporting their peers and you? Brag on them and send them to morning announcements! Consider having a shout out board in your classroom or hallway, like fifth grade has, where students can shout it out on a sticky note for all to see. Gratitude changes the heart and culture of everything. When our students learn to be grateful for the strengths of others, they stop and think before they carrying out a negative action.
Who are you thankful for and how are they supporting you? Shout it out on the brag board in the teacher's lounge.
Help Kim and I As Well As Our District Close Our Gaps
Thanks to everyone who participated in the K-12 Insight survey last year. Kim and I appreciated the feedback and have worked hard to improve our practices. We specifically targeted the area of clear communication and demonstrating our gratitude for the value each of you bring to Paloma Creek. It's that time again! This year's survey is open until November 17th, All information is confidential so please take the time to take the survey and allow us the opportunity to grow from your feedback. As of yesterday, 21% of the staff on our campus had completed the survey. Our goal is to reach 100% because our aim is to serve ALL of you well.
Take time to take the survey! The district is routinely sending us an update regarding the percentage of those completing it. Let's reach 100% by next Wednesday, November 15th. Help us grow and give yourselves the gift of jeans for the entire month of December!!!
If you haven't received the survey in your email, please let me know so that I can relay that information to the district.
