Dear Marysville Families

Happy, sunny Friday.

I was glad to be mostly reconnected with mostly everyone by this morning and my thoughts continue to be with anyone still impacted by the power outages and destruction caused by the icy weather. I am certainly more grateful for readily available electricity today than I was last Friday.


Please reach out to the school if there is any resources that you continue to need.


We have two important surveys happening right now and I would greatly appreciate it if you could take a couple of moments to fill them out as soon as possible.


Your thoughts and suggestions, really matter to me as we do our best to make Marysville and equitable school that meets the learning needs of our children.



Marysville Successful Schools Survey For Families

Understanding how you and your students are doing at school is an important part of us being able to do our job well. Each year we look forward to the chance to hear from you about your experiences through the Successful Schools Survey.


What is the survey? The Successful Schools Survey is offered to all families, students and staff as a way to measure how each school is working for different members of it’s community. Families will have the opportunity to give feedback about issues like school fit, school climate, barriers to engagement and school safety. The survey results are completely anonymous.


When do I take the survey? Families can take the survey between February 8th and March 12th.


How do I take the survey?


  • Go to: surveys.panoramaed.com/portlandor/ppsfamily

  • Select Marysville from the drop down menu of schools

  • Complete the survey

  • Hit the blue submit button to enter the survey

  • Let us know you submitted your survey by adding your name here. Each week we will enter all participants into a drawing to win a gift card.


Please let us know if you have any questions or need support accessing the survey.

Fourth Quarter Learning Choice Form

You should have received an email with a link to a choice form that will ask you to share your learning model preference for your student in April, May and June.


It is very important that we know your learning preference for this Spring.



Please respond to that email survey no later than February 25th so that PPS can plan staffing, bus routing and other logistics.

If you did not receive a form. Please contact Melinda Leong mleong@pps.net so that we can send you the link to the form.


The school and district will be following up with phone calls to families if we do not receive a completed survey.

PARENT WORKSHOP: AT-HOME LEARNING STRATEGIES

Parent & Caregiver Tips for At-Home Learning

This workshop will take an interactive approach of interviewing PPS staff from the Multi-Tiered System of Support team about resources they have created for parents & caregivers to use at home. In this workshop, parents will have an opportunity to ask questions and explore resources around different strategies to empower young people and the adults they work with to co-create safe and supportive learning environments at home. This will be a live workshop and will be recorded to view at a later time. You are welcome to submit your questions in advance via this padlet board.

Vaccine Information

The Oregon Health Authority has launched a new tool at http://covidvaccine.oregon.gov called Get Vaccinated Oregon. This tool will allow people to determine if they are currently eligible for a vaccine and register to get email alerts or text notifications when they become eligible. Once eligible to be vaccinated, this tool will help direct users to vaccine events in their area. This tool will be open to all Oregonians. Using this tool does not guarantee users a specific "spot in line." Once eligible, notified users may use the tool to find a vaccine event in their area.
