New Girl Scouts Troops Forming in Anacortes: Leaders Needed for Daisy and Brownie troops! More Girls Welcome!
Are you passionate about supporting girls’ leadership development? Are you organized, dedicated, and a clear communicator? Girl Scouts needs YOU to co-lead a troop in Anacortes! We have a group of four girls in K-3rd grades hoping to form a new troop near Fidalgo Elementary. It takes 5 girls and 2 adult leaders to form a troop, so all we need is one more girl and two adults, and this troop will be ready to go! Girl Scouts is the preeminent leadership development organization for girls in grades K-12, offering programs from coast-to-coast and across the globe. Our mission is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place. Through outdoor exploration, community service, civic engagement, and activities focused on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), girls develop a positive sense of self, say “yes” to new experiences and adventures, and create lasting friendships by joining a worldwide community of sisters. For additional information, please contact: Susie Barr-Wilson, GSWW Community Engagement Specialist, (360) 658-8083, ext. 4400 / sbarrwilson@girlscoutsww.org. You may also visit our on-line catalog.
