PLANNING FOR 22-23
It begins already!
Typically, the start of the third trimester is also a time when I begin to think about the summer tasks that lay ahead to prepare for the following school year. School goal selection, professional development, staff placements, master schedule, homeroom locations, committee meeting schedules, programs and services for students, and class lists are some of the major planning that occurs from June throughout the summer.
Regarding class lists, teachers assist me by providing snapshots of students’ skills, study habits and personalities. I use this information to build balanced classes across each grade level. My goal is to create equitable classes with a variety of learners in each class. I promise that I take into account individual student's needs and dispositions when building classes. Creating balanced and cohesive classes is a thoughtful and lengthy process and I am committed to this task. Due to the complexity of this process, I do not accept parent requests for class placements. If there is any specific information you feel is necessary to note for next year's placement, please advise your child's teacher and they will include that information in their end-of-year snapshot.
Thank you for your continued support.
