SHOW YOUR SUPPORT

TMS Community,

I received word that a fallen marine Harry Carlsen, killed in 1943, will be coming home on Wednesday.

TSgt Carlsen’s remains will arrive at O’Hare Airport on Wednesday, October 10, 2018.

A procession to Glueckert Funeral Home will depart O’Hare at ~2:30 pm escorted by the Patriot Guard and a USMC escort. The procession will travel through Bensenville, Elk Grove Village, Mt Prospect and Arlington Hts. Please be patient as there may be delays for the flight.

The route will be:

  • North on York Road / Elmhurst Road to Algonquin Road
  • West on Algonquin Road to Arlington Hts Road
  • North on Arlington Hts Road to Glueckert Funeral Home.

EVERYONE is invited to stand along the route to honor this Fallen Hero. If possible, stand with an American Flag.

Please take some time from your busy day to honor one of our Nation’s Fallen Heroes.

After school on Wednesday, we'll stand on the sidewalk along Arlington Heights Road next to the fence and parking lot with our flags.

Congratulations to our Cross Country Team

Our cross country team competed in sectionals over the weekend.

The girls team placed 5th and the boys team placed 3rd.

As a result, we are happy to announce that our boys will be competing at STATE on Saturday!

Good luck at STATE boys!

Girls Basketball Season

The 7th-grade girls have done an amazing job this season and we are celebrating their final week this week! They play at Hawthorne Middle School in Vernon Hills for their last game.

Our 8th-grade girls remain undefeated this season and also play against Hawthorne Middle School on Wednesday in Vernon Hills. This is not their last game as they will be attempting to make it down to state this year. Good luck to our 8th-grade girls basketball team!

7th and 8th Grade Choir @ Fallapalooza

Our 7th & 8th Grade Choir will be performing at Fallapalooza this week! We are so excited to have them on display and learn from the other choirs of surrounding middle schools in the area. Good luck this week!

If your child does not see a club they are interested in or they want to consider starting a new club please have them talk with their homeroom teacher about completing a NEW CLUB PROPOSAL form.

Absent & Upcoming Absences? Want to request homework?

If your child has been absent or they have a planned absence in the future please begin to check your child's Schoology account. We have noticed that when parents request homework from teachers they are often referring parents back to the Schoology page where most of the work has been uploaded and accessible to your child when they are feeling well and ready to begin making up the work they missed.

You will no longer need to call the office to request work that has been missed. Instead, you can stay up-to-date by logging into Schoology. We do not expect your child to complete the work while they are absent because we anticipate they are sick and that is the reason they are home. When they are feeling better and ready to begin making up the work it will be available on Schoology. If you are not confident that the work is available on Schoology please email the teacher directly to inquire about what homework specifically needs to be made up.

Thank you!

Brian
