Special School District’s Family and Community Outreach, Social Work, Parent Education and Diversity Awareness (PEDA) and Communications departments have teamed up to offer a virtual Lunch & Learn series for SSD families and stakeholders. The series, which will involve community organizations sharing information about their work, will take place on the first Wednesday of each month during the 2021-22 school year, from 11:30 AM - Noon.

Representatives from nine community organizations will participate in order to increase awareness about their agency and make connections with those in our SSD community who may benefit from their programs and services.

Please note that there is limited information for preschool aged students but our department's social workers are working to collect information specifically for our age-group. Hopefully both resources will help meet your family's summer needs.

Thank-you to our awesome staff!

We have a number of staff who have been honored through recognition in their buildings by their fellow staff or families. There are so many awesome staff here at Special School District that do their best for students day in and day out. It is great to know that they are recognized by others.

We have staff that are planning to depart through the retirement process or resignation to move with family members to new cities or states. We will miss you all and wish you well!
