With Appreciation
A Message from Jonathan Brice, Superintendent of Schools
Dear BWRSD Parents and Families,
We have reached the end of 2019-2020 school year. The staff of BWRSD recognizes you for your efforts during distance learning. We know that you helped to make distance learning successful in countless ways, large and small, and for that we are grateful.
In education, we always discuss the importance of parental involvement. We thank you for your engagement and willingness to work with us as we have supported students. This year has not been easy but your help was incredible. Thank you.
Reopening Parent Survey
Our team will need your help in planning reopening of schools in the fall. Next week, you will receive a survey that we ask you to complete about your ideas, concerns, and questions about reopening school for students. We await guidance from the Rhode Island Department of Education and Rhode Island Department of Health to complete our reopening plan that must have three options; 1.) an option for all students to return to school, 2.) a hybrid model for some students to participate in distance learning, 3.) an option for all students to participate in distance learning.
Thank you for your help this school year,
Jonathan Brice, Ed.D.
Superintendent of Schools

Dear Students,
Congratulations on completing the 2019-2020 school year. This year has been unlike any other year in our school lives and you were successful. We quickly moved from in class learning to working from home. The change was not easy, but you tried your best. You worked hard, stayed engaged, and finished the year strong. I am incredibly proud of you.
It is my hope that you continue to stay safe and have fun this summer. Please think about reading books that interest you, complete a project in an area that you are passionate about such as art, music, science, cooking, community service, or engineering, and work on some math problems. Here is a list of resources for summer learning and exploration.
Enjoy your summer,
Jonathan Brice, Ed.D.
