September 2018
September Notes:
As we look ahead to October please check folders and messages from teachers about events being held at school. We kick off October with our Homecoming Week. Each day of homecoming we will have dress up days, I can't wait to see the creativity of our students.
In the coming weeks we will be sending home letters about Parent Teacher Conference and we ENCOURAGE and WANT you to bring your child. The letter will give information for signing up for conferences so that it is most fitting for your schedule.

News From The Office
- Reminder daily Parent Drop Off begins at 7:05 am, if you require earlier drop off please speak with Coach Wilson about Kids Korner. We ask you maintain this time as we do not have staff in the building to supervise your child.
- If you have a change in transportation please contact the office prior to 2:00 each day. We know last minute changes occur, however we try to have all final transportation changes notified to the classroom by 2:00.
- If you plan to have lunch with your child please send a note or call in the morning to order a tray. We love having family visit with us but need to accurately prepare the food for our visitors.
- Students will have opportunity to enjoy extras and ala carte items. If your child is able to purchase extras please complete and sign the form from Food Services.
- When your child is feeling under the weather or is sick please call the Office or Nurse Mandy so we may document the absence. If we do not hear from you by 8:30 we will contact you. The office staff is available from 7:00-3:30pm daily. Reminder your child must be fever free for 24 hours without medication prior to returning to school after an illness.
Notes from Nurse Mandy:
- Friendly reminder if you child is sent home from school with a fever, they may not return until they are 24 hours fever free without medication.
- Wear school appropriate clothes and shoes; if you are cold natured bring a jacket or hoodie, sandals are not made for our playground.
- Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, students are welcome to eat here each day. I remind my frequent morning visitors of this each day.
- It's flu and cold season---wash hands often, cover mouth/nose with elbow when coughing, get plenty of rest each night, do not share food/drinks with friends, get your flu shot.
