Welcome to the 2022-2023 School Year!

We are so excited to have students back at school! This year will have some great activities for all members of our school community! As a mom to two kids gearing up for the next year, I know how stressful and chaotic the beginning to a school year can be with all the information and things that need to be done! I am there with you and know that the staff and I will do our best to make this process as smooth as possible! Enjoy the time with family and friends before we get into the full swing of school!

A small intro for me: I am walking into my 17th year in education and my 5th as the Principal here at Bryant! I spent the summer traveling, camping, and golfing with my amazing husband (Kyle) and our two kiddos (Keira and Kellen). I also spent a great deal of time with my amazing extended family as well. It went by fast but we are all ready to be back in the routine of the school year! I love this school, community, students and staff with all my heart and can't wait to see the AWESOME things we accomplish throughout this year! Welcome to all our new families, staff and community members!

This first newsletter will help to explain many important items for the school year. Please be sure to read all parts. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call, email or message me! I hope you had a fantastic summer and are as excited for this upcoming year! See you soon!

School Supplies

Here is the School Supply List for this school year. We are asking for money this year instead of supplies to help cut the cost as well as get the supplies needed for each student. If you can contribute, please do so as we are asking families for $25 a student. If you can't contribute the full amount, that is absolutely fine! We will take whatever you can send. Thank you and please let me know if you have any questions! Have a great day! :)

School Supplies: Bryant Elementary School 2022-2023

· $25 for the bulk purchasing of supplies for classrooms

· Headphones (earbuds work best for older students (3rd-5th grade), headphones for younger (kinder-2nd grade) kiddos)

· Gym Shoes

· Backpack

Back to School Open House

We are hoping to see you at the Back-to-School Open House on Monday, August 29th from 5:30-6:30 P.M. This provides families time to meet teachers, greet other families and drop off school supply money before the first day of school.

  • Open House will start with a meeting in the gym at Bryant. This will be introduce staff and also talk whole school procedures.
  • Families will then be sent to the classrooms to meet teachers
  • Students should bring their school supply money. It can also be brought in at any time.
  • There will also be a Community Resource fair in the HUB. More information on this to come!

We hope to see you there!

Class Lists for 2022-2023

We are working to finalize our class lists for this school year. Once they are finalized, classroom teachers will be reaching out either via phone or email with information for each individual class. Please be patient and wait for the call or email from the classroom teacher as we want each teacher to be able to make a connection with each family. We also ask that you do not call the main office and ask for this information. Thank you for your understanding.

Class Dojo

We value you and your participation in your child’s education. Two indicators for positive student engagement and success are school-to-home communication and attendance. Please know that our teachers and staff want to get to know you. We also want your child to be in school.

We are a Class Dojo school. You should be receiving an invite to join your teacher's accounts. I will be listed as a co-teacher (as well as several others) in order to make sure we stay in contact. Please feel free to message on the app if you have questions. Please also remember that teachers may not answer immediately after hours or on the weekends but will return messages within 24 hours of returning in person.

Contact Information for Families

It is extremely important we have current contact information for each child! You will receive an email at the beginning of the year asking for up-to-date information. If your contact information is not correct please contact Mrs. Hemminger at 324-1200 or
