Will the way of learning change in the near future?

Did you know that the U.S. spent over 3 billion dollars on digital education? In 1999 over 95% of schools were connected to internet and by 2009 97% of all teachers had at least one computer in a class. There was 5 students for every computer. By then 46% of teachers used educational videos in class. Or did you know that 89% of high school students have internet connected phone and 50% of students in grades 3-5 have devices connected to the internet? About half of all high school students have access to tablets and 60% have access to laptops. In 2013 and 2014 more than 23 million devices were purchased by schools.

Technology taking over jobs

Have you ever thought of the possibility of a machine taking your job? Already 10% of manufacturing tasks today are being performed by machines. It is expected for robots to perform 45% of manufacturing task by 2025. In the next 10-20 years machines can take over half of all U.S and British jobs. Technology interferring with everyday lives

Did you know that in 2011 teens sent and received about 3700 texts a month. A whopping 85% of students use social media. Over 92% of teens go online on a daily basis and 71% of teens use more than one social network. In 2012 the amount of internet users jumped to 2.4 billion. In 2013 Facebook had an astonishing 1.1 billion users, Instagram had 100 million users, and twitter had a total of 200 million users. Or did you know that the use of technology makes us worse at multitasking and only 3% of the world can multitask with information.
