Northwest ISD announced its Teachers of the Year and honored the top educators and staff across the district at its annual Inspire Celebration on Thursday, April 7, showcasing the tremendous teaching talent and staff support throughout the district.

All 31 Northwest ISD schools named their Exemplar Educators of the Year, honoring the district’s top teachers by campus for the 2021-2022 academic year. Northwest ISD’s Exemplar Educators, seen at this link, were selected following a rigorous process on their campus that evaluated their leadership, motivation and effectiveness in the classroom. We are so proud of our Sendera Ranch Elementary Exemplar Teacher, Mrs. Bethany LeFlore.

Report an absence on our website

Reporting an absence is now easy! Our updated website provides an easy and efficient way to report student absences. Each campus website has a Report an Absence button – located on the right-hand navigation bar on a computer or below the header on a mobile device – that provides families and caregivers with detailed reporting directions and attendance clerk information.

Did you know that NISD had a TIP Line?! Our number one priority is always to keep Kids safe! And it takes a community effort. If you see or hear something, it is imperative that you do something. There are a few things that you can do that will allow us to work together for the good of our kids and our community.

  • Contact the school. You can call 817-698-3500, email your child’s teacher, or email Mrs. Dwyer or Mr. Booles directly.
  • Report on the NISD Tip Line. You can always access the NISD Tip Line our campus and district website.
  • For emergencies, call 911.

Arrival/Dismissal Procedures & Traffic Patterns

Arrival and Dismissal Procedures

Students will still be permitted into the building starting at 7:20.

Car Riders: All students will enter throught the main entrance. Please pull forward to the cones where a staff member will help your student(s) out of the vehicle. For safety reasons, please plan to drop off students at the cones. Reminder, leave the crosswalk open for our pedestrians.

Bus riders and student who eat breakfast will be dropped off in the back by the cafeteria doors (arrival only).

Bike Riders - Please walk your bike (or skateboard) on campus for everyone's safety. Once you put your bike on the rack, you will enter through the main door.

Walkers will be dismissed by grade level. Kinder and 1st graders will still need to stand in line and be checked out by an adult or older sibling as we have done in the past.

Bus riders will be dismissed in front of the school.

Car Riders will be dismissed from the back of the school. Please have your car tag posted in the windshield for staff members to see.

Please notify us of ride changes before 2p each day to make sure the information is communicated to your child's teacher. You can call the front office or email us at sreattendanceandridechanges@nisdtx.org.
